Race Report – BW Rnd 5 – Aslackby

Less than ideal conditions did not deter a string of Personal Bests in round 5 of the Bourne Wheelers 2016 Time Trial League on the Aslackby 10mile course.

Matt Green was fastest on the night taking 45 seconds off his previous best time coming home in 22:17. Second was Antony Gough (Velo One), also PB’ing by over a minute, with 22:35 and in third was Tom Comben with 22:47.

In the Handicap League, Antony Gough took 1st, Matt Green 2nd and Damian Langdon 3rd.

Other PBs on the night were achieved by Steve Ellis (26:31) and Ian Davison (26:47).

In the Youth competition, Alice Standish flew round in 26:43 on her first attempt at the course. Her brother, Rory, was second with 28:02 and Dylan Snoek third with 28:40.

In the Scratch League, Tom Comben holds onto his lead (76pts), closely followed by Chris Kettle (71pts) and Cliff Hilless (65pts).

In the Handicap League, Ian Davison leads (71pts), Chris Kettle 2nd (66pts) and Mike Smalley 3rd (59pts).
