Green Flying the Flag at Spalding Hilly

The infamous 27mile Spalding Hilly kicked off the local TT season with a beautiful spring-like day on Sunday 20th March.

Matt Green was the only 1st claim rider representing Bourne Wheelers in his first race of the season and had a storming ride to finish 18th (01:04:51) in a field of 40; coming 7th in Category B.

Wheelers’ 2nd Claim riders were out in force with James Gelsthorpe (Peterborough CC) having a cracking ride, taking the win in 58:02 by 4s from Team Bottrill’s James Perkins.

Jason Burrill (Peterborough CC) came 10th (01:02:49) and Mike Smalley (Witham Wheelers) came 24th (01:12:50).
