Club TT League Report – Round #11 (Aslackby – 12th August)

20 riders took to the start line on a blustery, sunny evening for the last 10 mile time trial of the 2015 Championship season over the Aslackby course.

Handicap Competition

The handicap league is shaping up to be the closest in years with four riders separated by just one point at the top of the table and as many as 7 riders still in with a chance of winning (mathematically at least!) Mike Smalley joins Chris Kettle at the top of the table on 99 points with Cliff Hilless and Peter Waddingham tied in 3rd both on 98 points. Antony Gough (92), Stuart Handley (92) and Ian Davison (86) could all still win, but would need to score highly in the final race and hope their rivals return low scores.

The youth title is between Bryn Richards and Maddie Gammons.

The ladies title has already been won by Emma Rodgers who could yet secure a top 5 finish in the overall competition with a good result at the final race.

Scratch Competition

Congratulations to Emma Rodgers who secures the female scratch league title 🙂

In the overall competition Tom Comben and Matthew Green have already secured the first two places, but the battle for third will go to the wire – Cliff Hilless and Antony Gough remained tied after neither scored any additional points tonight. Jason Burrill is on a late run that could see him snatch 3rd at the final race in two weeks time.

The youth title again appears to be a straight shootout between Bryn Richards and Maddie Gammons
