On a cold and wet night (at the start at least) 2o riders braved the conditions to take on the Aslackby 10 mile course.
On the night, Jason Burrill took the scratch victory in a fantastic 22 mins 06 secs, from Tom Comben in 2nd (23 mins 08 secs) and Cliff Hilless in 3rd (24 mins 15 secs).
Second place was enough to give Tom the overall title for the second year running (see separate report).
Several riders, including Stuart Handley, Peter Waddingham and Chris Kettle, posted new personal bests for the 10 mile distance, so it will be interesting to see the outcome of the handicap competition.
The handicap results will be available in due course once Robin is feeling better – I’m sure everyone will join me in wishing him a very speedy recovery 🙂
Thanks to Gordon and Irene as always and to Kim and Adam Botteley for stepping in at late notice to assist with timing and the start – not a nice night for any of them – much appreciated by all 🙂
