Deafblind UK work to support people who have a combined sight and hearing loss through working to provide them with the same rights, access and opportunities as others.
The charity is organising a charity cycle ride (on both regular bikes and tandems) around Rutland Water to take place on September 5th.
This is a vital event to raise funds to support people who are deaf and blind, a condition that is described as ‘the loneliest condition in the world’, and which affects approximately 394,000 people in the UK.
Deafblind UK have contacted the club to encourage Bourne Wheelers to support the event and help the charity raise funds.
