15 riders took part in Round 12 of the club TT League. On a warm night Tom Comben (23:13) secured his 8th victory of the year beating Matt Green (23:25) by 12 seconds. Keith Munton‘s continued return to form saw him come home third in 24:18.
With the overall scratch title now secure, Tom will be aiming to secure victory in the final two rounds and become the first rider to score a maximum 200 points in the scratch league.
In the handicap Stuart Handley come home 1st in only his third TT followed by Martin Rolbin and Keith.
Martin’s second place on the night saw him move up to 2nd place overall on 133 points, but Richard Lomas-Brown is still out in front on 139 points. The title race looks set to go to the wire and 8 riders can still theoretically take the win.
Mike Smalley made it 11 wins for the season having secured the Vets title last week with a maximum 200 points. Tom and Cliff remain 2nd and 3rd respectively.
