The midweek TT League moved to the 11.2 mile ‘hilly’ course at Aunby this week.
On a very warm, humid and wet night the racing was hard and fast with several of the 19 riders setting personal best for the course.
In the seniors race, James Gelsthorpe was a comfortable winner, taking 30 secs of his course best and coming home a minute ahead of 2nd place Tom Comben, with Matt Green just one second further pack. Tom (58 points) has now opened up a 12 point lead over second placed Matt after three races.
On handicap Mark Wren came home 1st followed by James Gelsthorpe and Colin Gilbert. Mark Williamson takes over the lead in the overall competition on 44 points closely followed by Tom Comben on 42.
The Vets category was won by Mike Smalley for the third race in succession, followed by Mark Robinson and reigning champion Andy Barnard.
Campbell Pollock won the Youth categories in a time good enough for 2nd overall on the night.
