Cycling and Horses

As a club we encourage all our members to ride safely and in a manner courteous to all other road users. There are many of us out there enjoying the roads, be that driving, walking, running, cycling or riding a horse and it’s important we stay alert to each other and act accordingly to avoid any mishaps.

With respect to sharing the road with horse riders we recommend members always slow down, make your presence know and ride in single file. We’d ask all riders to read the document here Cycling Guidance leaflet which sets out some clear advice on how cyclists should approach horses when out on the road.
