Youth rider Adam Botteley, sowed up the overall points competition for this year with a seasons best 6th place finish (2nd Bourne rider) at Bardney Cyclo-Cross on Sunday.
The competition, designed to get more members to ride more events, has been closely fought all year.
With 10 points for taking part or helping and 6 down to 1 point awarded as bonus points for each round for the top 6 finishers, the competition favours those that ride or help at the most events.
In the end, it was no surprise that the 2 riders who have ridden every round finished on top with Adam Botteley finishing 9 points ahead of Steve Collins. with Tim James finishing in 3rd a further 5 points behind.
Individual round victories were spread amongst the club with Tim and Bart Kieres both winning 2 rounds (Road Race and Cyclo-Cross), James Gelsthorpe (Road race and Hill Climb) Mark Botteley (Bourne Hereward League and 10 champs), Maddie Gammons (P’Boro Hereward) Jamie Nation (Fenland Hereward), Campbell Pollock and Keith Munton (Club 2 up Champs), Adam Botteley (Spalding Hereward) and Antony Gough (5 mile Champs)
