Summer arrived (finally) for the 5th round of the Be-Well TT League, a warm still evening saw 28 riders take on our Greatford course.
Fastest Bourne Wheeler on the night was Mark Botteley taking the win in a time of 25:29, despite a nasty crash on the finish line Keith Munton was able to hang on to 2nd place 11 seconds behind Mark and Bart Kieres rounded off the top three 7 seconds further back.
In the League Keith extended his lead in the series to 28 points with an absent James Gelsthorpe hanging on to second by only a point from Anthony Gough.
On a quick night many pb’s fell (too many to mention, sorry), Colin Gilbert took the handicap win with a time of 29:38, Neil Chamberlain took second and Adam Botteley third.
Second on the night was enough to move Neil in to first place in the handicap league with Gerald Bone in second and Anthong Gough in third.
A full ist of results are in the results section.
Next week is the second round of the Hereward League on Peterborough CC’s course at Southy Wood. Round 6 of the Be-Well League is on 6th June on the Aslackby course.
