Bourne Wheelers Hardriders TT was held on Sunday over 2 laps of the testing Aunby course. The 46 entrants were greeted by perfect conditions, warm sunshine and no wind. Although the course has been used for many years, this year the start and finish points were moved to Barber’s Hill. James Coleman from Witham Wheelers set a blistering new course record with a time of 50mins 40secs to take this years title.
This year saw 6 Bourne Wheelers competing, first home was James Gelsthorpe with a very strong time of 58:07, 8th place overall and winning his category. James was followed in by Keith Munton with a good time of 1:04:38 placing him 6th in his category. Next up were Simon Ayliff and Steve Collins, both riders competing in their first ever TT’s produced excellent results with times of 1:08:51 and 1:10:58 respectively. Anthony Gough finished in a time of 1:14:50 after feeling very unwell during the race and Colin Gilbert rode well to take 4th place in his category with a 1:18:18.

Bourne Wheelers next event will be the club evening 5 miles TT starting on the 4th April at 18:45 on the Greatford course.
